                                                 Maine Coon cats are the only true native American Breed. These "Puppy cats" act like both animals~ They act like puppies by carrying around toys in their mouths, growling to protect the toy, jumping high to catch a toy or bug, follow the 'human' room to room, and even make yipping-chirping sounds! They are BIG kittens, but don't reach full developmental maturity until 4-5 years old! Maine Coons grow to 12 - 25 lbs. and are sure to get looked at with a "WOW!"
